Julian is turning into our little boy! We took him to the doctor today for a check up on his ear tubes (all looks great!) so I had the doctor weigh him. He is 29.5 inches, 17 pounds 7 ounces (75% for height and 30% for weight on the Down syndrome interactive growth chart, which by the way to give you an idea of our little peanut is .32% in weight and 28% in height on the typical growth curve. But he is anything but typical! (pun intended). He wears size 12 mo. clothes (but can still fit in to some of his 9 mo. clothes, and just graduated to size 3 shoe). And yes, in case you are wondering, we do feed our baby! He is eating great.
He is growing and doing so many things lately and really turning into a big boy! The true definition of being a boy is that he has had SIX hair cuts so far since he was born. Below are stats since he was born. I had the doctor print this out for me, very cool.

(also gives you an idea of how often we’ve gone to our pediatrician for various reasons, which is mostly just checking in to make sure Julian was growing well and doing well. Also he was sick with a sinus and ear infection around 9 months which is why we went three times in one month, and recently he had a rash on his face)

I’ve also included a list of what he likes to do. We are so proud of him, he is doing really great in his development. And also some photos from memorial day for your viewing pleasure (I know I’m a bit late!). He just started on June 29 going three days a week. Barbara my mother in law still takes care of him on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The latest with our little schnuckums (what I call JT) and champ (what Tom calls baby J):
What he eats:
Currently he eats finger foods like peaches, pears, strawberries, puffs, blueberries, peanut butter and jelly, waffles, crackers, baby mum mums, etc. He drinks whole milk. He also loves to eat whole milk baby yogurt in the morning and recently we started feeding him avocado. Lots of fatty Omega 3s!
What he likes to do:
Crawl, pull up to stand on furniture, play with toys and bang them together, shake toys and rattles, practice signing “more” and “milk” (infrequent but he does them!), drink out of his cup with a straw, play rocket ship with dad (a game where Julian gets onto Tom’s legs and he lifts Julian up into the air), bounce like a champ in his bouncy chair, hang outside in the garden with Tom, go lots of places with mommy and daddy, humor mom when she dresses me up in the many many clothes she buys for me and blow raspberries!
Here are the photos of memorial day on Cape Cod. Julian went in the pond, and tried to eat a rock. That Saturday of memorial day weekend we did his famous cake smash photo shoot with Jecca D Photography! To see all the photos from our shoot, visit http://www.shutterfly.com/pro/JeccaD/Julian.
