Here’s a fun photo bomb of Julian at daycare in 2011 when he was a year to 18 months old. He is now almost 20 months. He attends 3 days a week at Technology Children’s Center at Lincoln Laboratory (TCC LINC for short) which is about 3 miles from our house and 3 miles from my work! He is home the other 2 days with his grandma Sherman.
TCC LINC in Lexington is associated with nearby MIT Laboratory located in Lincoln “Lincoln Labs” for short – about 70% of the kids’ parents work there and they get a discount on childcare. About 30% of enrollment is from the “community” – non MIT folks (aka us). There is nothing especially “technology-related” about the center which is what I thought in the beginning before touring….it is a typical daycare environment with lots of stimulation and activities and a great teacher to student ratio of 1:7! It is associated with Bright Horizons but independently run.
Seeing these photos makes me a bit nostalgic that my baby is growing up….he is moving up to the early toddler room next week. He has so much fun at daycare and loves the teachers and the other kids….who also love him!
He has two good buddies, Adam and Nathaniel who are moving up in the toddler room with him. They play and rough house a bit together. It will be nice for him to have familiar faces with him in his new room. He officially starts there next Wednesday. He has been transitioning gradually for the past couple of weeks to adjust, which is going well. Will keep ya’ll posted!
Enjoy the pics….i miss those chubby baby arms.
