As promised here are photos of Julian’s two birthday celebrations – one on Cape Cod over memorial day and one this past weekend at our house in Lexington. We kept the parties small with just immediate family. Alyson and Brandon and Henry happened to be down on the Cape memorial day so they joined us for a bit too!
Julian was not into his birthday train cake (that Tom made!! check it out, it was AWESOME) but certainly was in awe of it and stuck his fingers in it. He loved playing with the bows and ripping paper open, and also helping Grandpa Geoff open his presents as they share same birthday! We had a fabulous meal of fish tacos, sirloin steak, corn on the cob, fruit and more on the Cape. DEEEELICIOUS! And pork, ginger glazed green beans and carrots, rice and potato salad in Lexington.
Julian loved his strawberry shortcake that my mom made in Lexington – a recipe from my great grandmother. It is a tradition for my dad’s birthday and Julian is following suit.

You can tell that my dad shot and edited the photos from Lexington as they are much better quality than the ones from my cell phone on the Cape.
